after vista, microsoft fired everyone in charge of windows and Steven Sinofsky was put in charge of windows, and gave us windows 7. If it still receives Windows Updates (which XP does still) then it's still supported. Quite often. NT4 was also good, but wasn't mainstream.

XP was very bad at first (like Vista) until around the time SP2 came out.

Not to say that it doesn't happen, but it's stability over any other OS to date is by far the best, hands down. Please review the known issues (for your OS) near the bottom before using/installing. IE9 is only good for downloading another browser=P Anyway, on topic, I'm still using CCC 11.5, never felt the need to update them yet as there weren't any problems.

Alot of home and corporate users are still on XP. It wasn't until sp2 that people really liked xp. The only reason to still be using XP is if you can't afford to upgrade to a modern operating system.
